It all started with a script...
Yep, Running with Jack Scissors started off as a screenplay. And on just the fifth query email sent to producers and directors, the award-winning Boylan Sisters -Alexandra and Andrea - fell in love with the story and said yes. Now they are on board to direct.

We decided to go a different way.
But... How do we fund the movie?
We had three options to fund the movie.1. Sell to a Hollywood Studio or Streamer - lose all control and the intellectual property rights.2. Seek out investors and spend two years pitching to high net worth folks who love these kind of films. They're out there, but it takes a lot of time.3. Crowdfund - get pledges in return for promises of merch and perks at some distant date in the future... if you reach your goal.
We dared to ask "What if?"
What if we turned the crowdfunding model on its head?
Instead of taking pledges and giving away merch if we reach a fundraising goal, what if we just turned the model upside down? Let's give our audience what they want. Let's just give the ebook version of the novel away for free. Then those who love the story as much as we do can join us on this wild ride of making a movie together.Instead of offering merch if we reach a goal, we will just do what the big studios do and sell merch right now. If you love the story and love the merch, you can buy them right now and get them right now. No waiting months to see if a fundraising goal was achieved.And for our fans who want to take it a step further, they can sign up as one of our affiliate partners and rep our merch on social media making a cool 20% commission.
